Queensland Coal comprises the BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) assets in the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, Australia.
BMA is Australia’s largest producer and supplier of seaborne metallurgical coal and is owned 50:50 by BHP and Mitsubishi Development. BMA operates five Bowen Basin mines (Goonyella Riverside, Broadmeadow, Peak Downs, Saraji and Caval Ridge) and owns and operates the Hay Point Coal Terminal near Mackay.

Our five Queensland Coal mines are based throughout the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland.
Hay Point Coal Terminal
The Hay Point Coal Terminal is owned and operated by BMA and is capable of handling more than 55 million tonnes of metallurgical coal for export every year.
